This is a great book with real life experiences that makes it entertaining to read. With it being an easy read, it goes by quickly and very enjoyable. It provides great insight as to life in your thirties and how different it is from your twenties. Definitely a fun read that caters towards the targeted audience especially with the links to social media.
I loved this book! Not only were Libby and Jillian clever and funny, they also provided interesting insights and educational facts that all women need - whether they are in their 30s or not. From money matters to the crazy world of dating, the authors provided tips, tricks, personal stories, and resources for women to educate themselves. I would recommend this book to any woman looking to empower herself.
I felt like the authors were supporting and inspiring me the way great friends do. Its good for women looking for a push in the right direction. I don't normally review books so that says a lot about this one.
Lessons in our (early) 30's is a witty, charming, easy read sharing tips, tricks and real life experiences that apply to all women approaching or recently exiting this life stage! Pick up a copy and enjoy some quality time with Libby and Jillian as they let you into their coffee chats and share some of their hard earned lessons from their early 30's.
Lessons in Our (Early) 30s is a is a great (& quick!) read covering all aspects of life and and how to address them in your early 30s. While I am still in my 20s, I still found the information to be relevant and helpful. It covers topics from health & eating to careers & love. I loved how open and honest it was, definitely not trying to sugar coat anything. I definitely appreciated the "real" factor, as the authors are two everyday women and are relatable in their struggles and successes, so you don't have to worry about any sort of guilt trip from this book. I also liked how there were two authors that are alike in their general experiences, but offer different perspectives at the same time. They have also added hyperlinks and specific examples of products, apps, etc. throughout the book to connect with them individually (Libby even included her Fitbit email to join her in challenges!) and to also get more info about related topics. Overall, I greatly enjoyed this advice-filled, yet entertaining and encouraging read.
Lessons In Our (Early) 30s is a how to guide in navigating life after 30. The book reads like a series of blog posts. You are treated to tips and tricks, like the five minute face, to what to expect from your thirty year old body. It’s a light read and if you looking for a few good excercises or antedotes for a newly turned 30 year old women, this book is for you. Each women gives their take on the subject matter, telling their stories in alternating tales. At only approximately 30 pages its a quick read.
Being at the latter end of my thirties, some of these things make me look back and laugh that I ever worried about them, others found me nostalgic at the thought of them. A lot of the lessons are things that apply to all ages though. Like eating healthy or drinking lots of water.
If you have a millennial that needs a few pointers on finally approaching that milestone of adulthood or if you want to know what’s trendy now, this is a great book to pick up. Social media is the new normal and the authors have their pulse on the scene.
I received this book for review purpose only. Positive review was not required.
