Amazing book! Makes you feel as if you are right there, and makes the thoughts of our Founding Fathers and the dangers they faced feel very real. Creating the Declaration of Independence eBook David J Shestokas Reviews
Wow, what an original idea? Hollywood should snap it up for a docu-drama, or they should make an episode on "Timeless" about those people who revisit the past.
And it turns out that attorney David Shestokas is apparently a huge expert on the Declaration of Independence. This is a fascinating (and unknown) bit of our history, presented in a fascinating way. I like it.
A very succinct and well documented coverage of the subject at hand. Easy to read too. I really enjoyed it.
Glad I found this. Great history lesson!!!
Dave crafts such a great story. Dave weaves together the events leading up to the creation of one of our sacred founding documents. He places the reader in the midst of the actions and thoughts of the Founders and provides a “worm’s eye” view of the events that took place in the days leading up to July 4, 1776. For people who care about the birth of America and want to learn how and why it all came about, this book is an excellent resource.
David Shestokas does an excellent job recounting Jeffersons process in writing a document of foundational and transcendent truth, not only for Americans, but for "all men." Engaging and very readable. Highly recommended!
One again, my friend and colleague, David Shestokas, has made an important part of our history accessible and interesting. This new short book is must reading for anyone who a)knows nothing and wants to know something and b)for someone who thinks they know everything but is willing to challenge themselves nonetheless. David has a gift for taking things that we think we know and understand already, and adjusting the vantage point in such a way as to allow us to see things differently or more clearly.
I'm not certain what is better, the fact that he keeps things simple or the fact that he is disruptive in his presentation of truth around our Founding rather than simply retelling myths and misconceptions (which are increasingly prevalent today).
His last book, "Constitutional Sound Bites," was referred to extensively by both Charlie Kirk and myself when we co-wrote a book last year. My own copy was highlighted, dog-eared, and bookmarked. It was invaluable to our efforts.
It is time that David started to receive the acclamation he deserves for bringing America's Founding to so many people in such a truthful, original, and accessible manner. Thank you, David. Well done!
David Shestokas is one of our nations most prolific writers on our founders and the documents that guide our nation today. His body of work demonstrates his command of the subject. David's books are well written and easy to comprehend and read.
